Light of Sunya

I tried to represent all of the Glass Desert’s terrain, the glass pillars, the storms, and the plains, in at least small ways (some much more obvious than others lol). I also tried to include as many references to songs in Sunya as I could. I wanted to show how the Scientist’s perspective on the Indigo Child would ultimately change at the end of his journey.

The pillars of glass in the desert are usually depicted as a beautiful purple or blue, but I thought it could look interesting to create prism-like pillars that reflect a broader spectrum of colors. I tried to include as much hue variation in the rest of piece as possible, like multi-colored light from the pillars was interacting with everything around it. Doing that also ended up helping me incorporate the colors of the storm, cliff, and ship in a more cohesive way.
