The Child

By: Kari Raos

I picture her young, cast aside by a cruel world; sad and longing for a life without the pain, suffering, and injustice that surrounds her. She doesn’t know what fate has in store for her, should she choose to embrace it. For now she struggles day to day. Watercolor, ink, colored pencil, and a dash of salt.
